Tony started his playing career at centre half but a head injury when he was younger saw him move to the wing where he didn’t have to head the ball as much, or be involved in aerial challenges. However, after realising that you need pace to be a winger, Tony now applies his trade at centre forward. He is a Niall Quinn type forward, who uses his height and presence well when in the box.
