There are times that Sunday League football beggars belief.

You can have good games; evenly contested with a good spirit shown throughout.

Then you can have the complete opposite; moaning stressed-out thugs who take their frustrations from work and their home life out on their opponents.

Sometimes there is the game which is a little bit of both.

Today we came up against a team that plays good football with a good sporting spirit, but consider their performance was ruined by a manager who sadly cheats his way through a season.

This may sound like sour grapes but the reality of it is we know we have been cheated before and we know other teams have been subjected to this unsporting behaviour from Ralee.

In retrospect it was unfortunate that the Ralee manager refereed the game, but having done so as the game went on his decisions became all the more unbelievable.

The first half was pretty much evenly contested, a few chances wasted by both teams.

The second half saw the match ruined by two dreadful decisions by the referee, both decisions giving goals to Ralee.

As the visitor's accusations that the referee/manager of Ralee was cheating grew louder, with decision after decision going against Landsdowne, even some of the Ralee players began apologising for their manager's behaviour!!!

The sadness for Ralee is that Landsdowne players have no problem with the end result.

Ralee probably were the best team and probably deserved to go through but we feel that the Ralee Manager has tarnished your efforts and cast a shadow over your performance yet again.
