On the back of a 6-0 victory Landsdowne would be hoping for a similar performance into today’s game; league game against Callback. Before the game the manager spoke about working hard and earning the three points today. From the start it was clear that this was going to be a tough game. Both teams were working very hard and battling for every ball.

Landsdowne created a few changes in the first half but struggled to test the Callback keeper. They were playing good football but the away team were giving away very little space as they defended as a unit. It was going to take some quick football and possibly a bit of luck to open the scoring. At half time the score was 0-0. A good half by both teams.

The second halve began and it was more of the same. Landsdowne created some chances but none were simple and everything on target was either blocked or equal to the keeper. Callback used the long ball option but the back four stayed strong and were able to clear without too much pressure. Neither team could break the other down. Final score 0-0.

A battling draw from both teams. Landsdowne could have snatched the win with some better finishing but Callback were worth the point. Some decent individual performances by the home team but a little more composure on the ball and also teamwork could have secured the three points. At 0-0 some players began to argue which only caused further problems, more encouragement will help improve the quality of football and also make the game more enjoyable.

A good start to the season for Landsdowne. 2 wins and 2 draws; 8 points from 12 and 2nd in the league. Lets keep it up!!
