On a Sunday morning with the rain hailing down, Landsdowne Rangers took on Leigh Ramblers in front of a staggering attendance of 8 people at Oakwood Park.

Landsdowne battled hard to go in at half time level with no goals scored by either side.

However, the second half started badly with Leigh Ramblers scoring straight from kick off after a defensive mix up.

They then went on to make it 0-2 and would have scored more but for some fine stops from Darren Playford in goal.

Landsdowne did manage to claw one goal back after a long ball from Dave Allen saw the ever running Graham Rix peel away from the defender to head home.

Hence, it was an enjoyable finish to the game, sadly Leigh Ramblers managing to hold on to their lead.

Overall, it was a reasonable good performance by everyone, especially Darren in goal.

Unfortunately, hard work doesn't make points, and we need to start winning some games to avoid staring straight at relegation once more.
