Landsdowne Rangers produced their best performance of the season as they beat Kingston Athletic II at Oakwood.

The first half was dominated by Landsdowne but it took them until the 30th minute before they took the lead when a fine through ball by Brian Butler on the half way line saw Graham Rix scamper into the area and score with a low shot past the keeper.

More Landsdowne pressure followed but no further goals were added before half time.

However, the home team soon added a second after the break when a long throw by Paul Bush saw Tony Bush flick the ball home past the Kingston keeper.

Landsdowne continued to push forward and soon added a third when the ball broke to Nathan Duck on the edge of the area who drilled home a fine low shot into the bottom corner of the net.

With Landsdowne's defence having few questions asked of them they scored a fourth goal after 65 minutes when good work by Martin Bell in the area found Tony Bush in space to score his second goal of the game.

Their fifth goal came from another long throw by Paul Bush, who again found Tony Bush in the six yard box, and he headed home his seventh goal of the season and his hat trick for the match.

Kingston pulled one back late on from the penalty spot after Paul Bush brought down their striker in the area.

Overall, a fine performance which took Landsdowne up to sixth in the League after such a disappointing start to the season.
