Landsdowne arrived in Thorpe Bay hoping for a change of fortunes against Towerfield Rangers.

The home team were under strict orders to behave in a sporting manner from the League after there shocking behaviour resulted in the game being abandoned two weeks ago.

The first half saw Landsdowne go behind early on after some sloppy defending gifted the Towerfield defender an easy tap in from the corner.

The visitors tried in vain to get back on level terms but saw little go their way as Bush, Duck and Rix all squandered good chances.

Despite this as half time arrived the general feeling was that Landsdowne could still get back into the match.

That feeling soon disappeared in the second half as the home side took control of the game, scoring three further goals as Landsdowne buckled all too easily under the pressure from Towerfield.

They could have lost by more goals and the reality for Landsdowne is that unless they start to win games they will be relegated.

At the moment an uncompetitive midfield lacking creativity and vision, together with unfit players who are tiring towards the end of each match, is costing them dearly.
