After complications (a fall) while stretching, Danny was again unable to remove his head from his arse to see the screen to write the match report, so I, Mr White, am again here for your journalistic pleasure.

Today saw Landsdowne take on the top of the table Great Knightleys, with injuries and missing players, and a host of bad results building up, Manager Pete Smart broke out his Championship Manager scrap book and looked for a formation that would wipe the smile off Knightleys faces. He decided that the ever-growing popular 4-3-3 formation was the way for Landsdowne to play.

The first half started as usual for Landsdowne with the defence becoming under increasing pressure from the off, but as the Landsdowne defence soaked up the pressure a quick break allowed Dave Rix to put in a pin point cross to be met by an even braver header by Christian Dyke, 1-0 Landsdowne 'Game On'.

It's only Landsdowne's luck that we didn't realise that Knightleys had a super freak player who somehow could bang in a free kick from forty yards into the top corner, but this player stepped up and scored one of the most incredible and most unstoppable goals I have ever seen leaving the score at 1-1.

Half time came and 1-1 was a fantastic score-line as the Landsdowne players played out of their skin, but the point was not won yet, and knowing Knightleys where going to come out fighting Landsdowne needed cool heads and work rate galore, and this is what manager Pete Smart would receive. However, inevitably it was not enough as Great Knightleys continued the pressure building from the last half and broke the deadlock to make it 2-1, and as the heads fell, the number rose and eventually finished at 5-1.

Despite the score-line Landsdowne worked hard and showed that one day they could become giant killers but just not this day. Pete Smart's tactics seemed to work well and with a little tinker things could again start rolling for the team.

"Man Of The Match" Tony Bush put in a brave performance in goal and on the pitch and Manager Pete Smart had this to say about him, "I've seen him wash up before and I have never seen such handy work. From that point I knew Tony was the right choice".
